Purchased from the County Donegal Joint Railway Committee these units were used extensively on winter service duties from arrival on the island; latterly only used for permanent way duties their condition deteriorated ensuring that by 1995 they were no longer fit for service.  An ambitious project to restore these historic vehilces was commenced in 1999 but the plan halted owing to escalating costs.  Today they remain in store in the carriage shed at Douglas Station awaiting completion.  What follows are summary histories of each unit.
